Long ago, humans use to roam this earth. Their buildings towered high in the sky, cutting paths though the trees. They were destroying the earth - and themselves. Before long they started to die off, choking on the fumes of a natural gas that they thought was 'earth saving'. This is how the humans died - and how the wolves became number one.
It has been many years since the humans died off, their buildings have disappeared and the earth is once again whole. No artificial things scar the earth any more. But the humans did leave one thing behind. That gas that they discovered festered and grew stronger in small pockets inside the earth. It was not harmful as long as it stayed there. But one day, a single wolf was digging a den and opened one of these pockets. The natural gas flooded into his mouth and nose, making its way up into his brain. It started killing the cells, one by one, until he was left with very few. It swam through his blood stream, killing nerve ending. It made him become zombie like, trapped in his own body. He did not act on thoughts, but merely on instinct. He attacked when he saw movement, and felt no pain if he was injured. This wolf did not just attack prey, but other wolves as well. If one single wolf got bitten too many times, this infection would spread to them. And so it began, a wonderful gift the humans left behind.
Now the infection is spreading fast. Wolves everywhere are walking around mindlessly. Some have been able to regain some of their mind and become self aware. They are literally trapped in their own bodies, not able to control themselves. Some will have small lapses when they once again regain their body, but it never lasts for long. This disease has also made the body of the wolf mutate, some with extra limbs, tails, and strange colored markings. Yellow eyes change to colors like purple, black, red, colors never seen on a wolf before. The world has been filled with these mutant, infected wolves. Can you survive in this world? Is there any hope at all?
